New Feature: Tweet Notifications Testing on Twetter
Twetter is testing tweet notifications among a group of users. If you are selected by Twetter for testing, when the people you followed posted a new tweet, you will get a notification on your Twetter page, saying, “1 new tweet”. By clicking on the notification, you will arrive at the page of the tweet. You can see it in the picture above, this picture is posted by a twitter user, @stephromanski.
Here is the official update note from Twitter’s Status blog:
We’re starting a limited test of notifications on twitter.com for when you have new tweets. So if one of the folks you follow has tweeted since you loaded your homepage, you’ll get a little notice saying “1 new tweet” that, when clicked, will display the new content.
We think it improves the tweet consumption experience and hope to roll it out to everyone as soon as we can.
